Have a room that is quiet on a Tuesday?

We run small social events — usually somewhere between ten and thirty people, who arrive together, sit down, talk to each other for a couple of hours, and drink while they do it. We are looking for rooms, and we do not pay for them, because we are not asking you to sell us anything.

A room full of people who arrive together and stay two to three hours, on an evening it would otherwise be half empty. Turnout varies — ten some months, thirty others — and at €12–20 a head that is somewhere around €150–500 across the bar, from a booking that costs you nothing and needs no staff beyond whoever is already pouring.

We run two, and they want quite different rooms. Most places can host one of them. Tell us which — a no on either is genuinely fine.

A standing social evening

Everyone on their feet, with a number on their phone. Every few minutes the numbers change, people find whoever is showing the same one, and talk. Over a couple of hours everybody meets everybody. Then it settles into an ordinary evening and they stay.

Needs: floor space where people can stand and move about — a back area, a mezzanine, a balcony, high tables. No chairs, no layout, no setup. Noise is fine and honestly helps, because people are talking to one person at a time.

Occasional

A talk or an interview

Everyone facing one speaker for about ninety minutes, with questions from the room. We film it. Smaller than the other one, typically.

Needs: somewhere quieter and more separate — no music in the room, and not too much noise coming in from the bar. This is the harder one, and far fewer places can do it.

What we would not need

No AV, no microphones, no screens.
No catering, no food minimum, no set menu.
No staff beyond the bar, and no setup — we arrive early and arrange the chairs ourselves.
No exclusivity. It is one evening a month.

The arrangement, in full

You give us the room. You keep every cent behind the bar.That is the whole thing. Nothing changes hands in either direction.

We do not pay room hire, and we will not ask you to discount anything.If a room fee is how your space works, we are simply the wrong fit — no hard feelings and no haggling.

There is always an organiser on the floor.One named person, there the whole evening, responsible for the group. You have somebody to talk to if anything needs saying.

It repeats.Monthly, same evening, once it works. Predictable trade on a night you would otherwise write off.
